What a labour of love this project has been. Nestled into the arms of a mature cedar tree and angled to make the most of the evening sun, this is a multi-generational hide-out in a glorious, tranquil spot. Those steps look deceptively simple, but took a bit of clever geometry to get the angles right and I love the way the twiggy balustrade around the deck helps it to disappear into the surroundings. A bespoke glass panel in the door depicts the cedar tree it all sits in (and opens so that you can peep out to see who is calling).
